I had been meaning to take part in the Fusion card challenge for a while now, and it happened to be their third anniversary! challenge that I took the plunge:
Here is what I came up with:
I chose both the sketch and the photo. The elements I went with were the brown from the wooden table and trees, the light blue from the snow and the red tea pot.
I embossed the light blue panel to play on the stamped “steam” coming from the tea pot, which is just a flourish stamp. I went over that with a bit of clear glitter Gelly Roll.
The tea pot is embossed with clear embossing powder to give it some shine and texture, some interest in what is otherwise a fairly simple card.
The flourishes and tea pot create a feminine card despite the masculine colours. Perfect for letting Grandma know you are thinking of her!
