I had a wonderful day at the Champlain Heights Community Centre summer fair. I got there nice and early to set up, which I managed to do on my own with time to spare. Luckily I planned well enough the night before that I remembered everything I needed.
I was lucky enough to have a wonderful neighbour in Bouges handmade soft-soled children’s shoes. They also had fantastic play capes and princess hats. Watching the kids leave with their new magical items, you could tell they couldn’t wait to get home and play with them!
Everyone there was so pleasant. The board members and association members walked around to meet and check in on everyone. Customers had nice things to say about my cards. I sold more in the couple of hours I was there ( I had to pack up and leave early due to big, sloppy rain) than I have before in one go. I wish I could have toughed it out, but paper and water don’t mix well.
There were so many things going on at this fair. Rides, inflatables, face painting, live music, food – they had it all. All the kids seemed to be having a great time.
Here are some shots of my table in case you missed it on my Instagram Stories:
That bargain box was a hit, so much so that I plan to implement something similar in my online shop. Keep your eyes open for that!
It was a successful day (despite the rain out) and I look forward to doing it again next year!
