My sister is by no means a girly-girl so I love to make cards for her. I like to break out the pink and frills once in a while, but a card for her is a welcome challenge. Here is what I came up with: Here, I inked up a bunch of wooden embellishments to…

girly birthday memory album
I put together this album for the 2nd birthday of my friend’s daughter. I love this paper (DCWV Confetti collection) and was super excited to make a project bigger than a card with it. Of course, I did make a matching card to go with it though… 🙂 Here’s a slideshow of the inside: …
S.I.P. #88 -anything but a card
This week’s Stamp Ink Paper challenge is a bit of a shake up: I went with a tag: The background is stenciled in yellow ink. I went with other bright colours (almost keeping them all primary). I dig the HOORAY die cut letters filled in with other colours 🙂 This tag is so cheery! As a…
S.I.P. #79 – anything but Christmas
I am getting a head start on doing more card challenges in 2017 with the latest Stamp Ink Paper challenge #79 – ANYTHING BUT CHRISTMAS! I admit it was fun to get away from the seasonal cards. I haven’t really been creating since I finished making for that craft fair at the beginning of December…

It’s a sketch challenge at Can You Case It this week: I had a birthday card to make for my bestest friend so I used this as an opportunity to give her a reminder: The sentiment is stamped with some American Crafts metallic ink. The jewels are die cuts that I coloured with a silver…
CTD 392 – Enjoy The Journey
The Color Throwdown challenge this week was a nice one: I have to say I really enjoy getting out of my comfort zone and creating with colours I might not otherwise have used 🙂 This is my card: It’s just a simple travel-themed card in pretty neutral colours that could work for a birthday, someone leaving…

The challenge over at Always Playing With Paper this week is a sketch challenge: I needed to make a special birthday card and this is the sketch I chose to use for it. I used pink and gold Gelatos for the background, using a dauber and stencil for the stars. I used Fiskars birthday bash clear…
black flower birthday greeting card
Hi there! This is a birthday card that I made that could be great for a friend or sister. I like the kind of modern feel to it, and of course the sparkles that make it look kind of elegant. The inspiring sentiments on the white panel are a nice touch 🙂 This card is…
CYCI #111 – Totally Awesome
The Can You Case It challenge #111 is a colour challenge – pick any three. I chose neon blue, neon orange and neon pink. Black and white are my neutrals. I had these bold cassette stickers that I wanted to use and I decided to go with an 80s theme (’cause I love the 80s!)….
Make A Wish birthday greeting card
This card was the first birthday card I made this year: I love the embossed candles and sentiment. It really added the wow factor to this card for me. The colours give it a masculine feel, and the flourishes give it a feminine feel. Simple and elegant.
