CASology 201 – sunshine

I am sensing a bit of a theme this week in the challenges! 🙂 The CASology cue card this week is sunshine! This was such a great cue card. It’s one of those ones that can lead anywhere… The DoCrafts paper I had ordered came in this week and I was eager to use it….

CTD 392 – Enjoy The Journey

The Color Throwdown challenge this week was a nice one: I have to say I really enjoy getting out of my comfort zone and creating with colours I might not otherwise have used 🙂 This is my card: It’s just a simple travel-themed card in pretty neutral colours that could work for a birthday, someone leaving…

Color Throwdown 386

Teal, lime green and white are what are going on over at Color Throwdown this week. This is the third challenge this week that I am doing for the first time. I suggest you click that link and take a look at all of the amazing cards people have made for this challenge. There is…

CYCI # 110 – you & me

This week over at Can You Case It, it’s a sketch challenge: I have to say I loved this sketch and was super excited to get to work. So many possibilities! Here is my take: These are the some of the steps I did to make this card: took a marker to colour the edges…

Sweet Memories greeting card

This card was born from a desire to use up some materials I had been hanging on to for way too long. If I use them up I get to buy new stuff, right!? It was made as part of my family-themed collection but it could be given as a birthday or a just because…

Make A Wish birthday greeting card

This card was the first birthday card I made this year: I love the embossed candles and sentiment. It really added the wow factor to this card for me. The colours give it a masculine feel, and the flourishes give it a feminine feel. Simple and elegant.

love greeting cards 2016 – white edition

Here are a few more from this years batch: I was happy to work with the blues and greens, which I think are still romantic colours. It is a change from the pink and red, and might go over better with those who tend to shy away from those colours 🙂

Valentine’s Day 2016 – ivory edition

I made quite a few Valentine’s Day cards this month and want to share some of them with you. They mostly have two colour palettes, teal/green and red/pink. I admit I was trying to use up some materials I had been holding on to for quite a while, and yet some of them still seem…

sand dollar sea-themed birthday card

This birthday card was the first project I used Faber-Castell Gelatos on and I am looking forward to using them more and in different ways. I used them with Golden gel medium, probably inspired by this tutorial from Heather Greenwood Designs.

Father’s Day 2014

This card is something simple for my uncle for Father’s Day.  The three dragonflies represent my mother, my sister and me. I tried to keep the colour palette cool and masculine. USED: dragonfly stamp grass stamp patterned paper
