painted composition notebooks

I am no great painter, so to use the neat metallic acrylic paint I had I decided to paint up some composition notebooks. I dig the results. Here is a quick run-down of what I did:

1. Tape spine to keep it clean. Optional: prime with gel medium.

2. Add base coat and first colour. I used a square of sponge.

3. Use a stencil and accent colour for your last layer.

4. Add a handy pocket on the inside!
