retirement card – GONE FISHING

My grandmother requested a retirement card for a family friend, and she wanted it to have a fishing theme. Just like the dinosaurs in the previous post, I had to go source some supplies. These requests have really highlighted how limited my stash is 😦 Anyway, on to the card…

A Bit Of Glue & Paper - retirement card with fishing rod, box and tackle, embossed background, sign with wood patterned paper and die cut letters for GONE FISHING sentiment - Vancouver BC

I made the sign with some wood patterned paper and die cut letters. I also used a Crop-a-dile to add some eyelets, and finished with twine.

The background panel is embossed and kinda looks like ripply water.

Honestly, that many stickers felt like a cop-out but it was the the only way it could be made with a day’s notice. I suppose such fancy stickers are made for a reason. I hope he liked it!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Sometimes stickers are the solution! You made a great card. Minimal notice is a nightmare to cope with!
